Survival gear

This week's roundup of accessories for your iOS devices includes items that will help you use your iPhone in the wilderness, or even when Mad Max is ruling the world.

Bracketron

The $80 SmartLantern has a 7,800 mAh battery that can provide up to 48 hours of light, or multiple charges for your iPhone, while you're stuck out in the wilderness. For the latter, just plug your phone's USB cable into the lamp's USB port, and you'll soon have enough power to call in the helicopters to rescue you from the grizzlies.

Braven

The $170 Braven 710 is a portable Bluetooth speaker that offers up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge. It's splash-proof and water-resistant, but unlike myriad other portable Bluetooth speakers out there, you can pair two of the Braven 710 to create true stereo sound.

Dekke

The Slope tablet stand comes in two sizes: a $55 version for the iPad mini and a $60 model for full-sized iPads. A large suction pad anchors your tablet to the stand; the same type of "microscopic suction" pad holds the tablet firmly in place on your table or desk for worry-free, hands-free tablet viewing.
