Google released its One Today charity app for Android quite a while ago, but up until now it was by invite only. Now, the free app is open for all at the Play store.

One Today is a do-good, feel-good app that lets you donate to charities with as little as $1. One Today showcases a different project every day, across animal, education, health, environment, and humanitarian causes. It's a convenient way to discover charities you'd like to support and make a difference with your pocket change. The app tells you how your money is being used for that project.

You can post your donations on Google+ to encourage others to donate as well.

And, finally, the app tracks your donations for you--which will come in handy at tax time.
