Just how many games will you be able to install on the next generation of game consoles? Not many, if Sony's Killzone: Shadow Fall (shown above) is any indication.

The PlayStation 4 exclusive takes up about 50GB of space on the console's hard drive, Eurogamer reports. Both the PS4 and Microsoft's Xbox One ship with 500GB of storage, so you might be able to install a dozen games or so before running out of room.

On the bright side, users may not have to wait long to play their downloaded games. Both Sony and Microsoft are promising "play-as-you-download" functionality on their consoles.

Still, the storage limitations could be an issue for early adopters, just as it was for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The two consoles initially shipped with 20GB of storage and, over the years, new models were introduced with roomier hard drives.
