Dec 5th 2013, 19:12, by John Brandon

Get ready for the new Mustang. On Thursday, Ford unveiled its 2015 Mustang and Mustang Convertible during the Good Morning America TV show.

Scheduled to go on sale late in 2014, the legendary muscle car will rock new track apps and controls for drive performance. On the dash, you'll find large toggle switches to make the steering stiffer for tighter cornering, or looser for a comfortable ride. You can adjust the suspension, throttle, and traction control as well. While "sport" adjustments like these are common, Ford's decision to use large knobs instead of touchscreen controls should make it easier to keep your eyes on the road.

Ford also lets you check the tire pressure on each individual tire, a first for any Ford vehicle. Ask anyone who has driven a Mustang on the track, and you'll hear about tire pressure (and tires in general). Many Chevy models also offer this feature.

Details about the new track apps remain sparse, but a Ford rep told us they were redesigned for the new model. In the 2013 Mustang, there's a countdown app that runs in the cluster above the steering wheel. Lights blink down in a column until you see green for go and can press on the accelerator. There are speed tests for 0-30 and 0-60 mph.
