Twitter is on a customization kick these days. A Tuesday update to its iOS and Android apps offers up new search filters for finding and filtering only the content you want to see.

This latest update follows on the heels of last week's introduction of Custom Timelines. It's all part of Twitter's efforts to be an information resource, helping you find out exactly what people are talking about and join in.

Tuesday's update, which is rolling out to all users throughout the day, lets you just type in a keyword or two and filter by photos, videos, followers, or all Twitter users. You can also choose to view top tweets or all tweets, an option that wasn't available until the Tuesday update.

If you slide on over to the Discover tab, you'll see a trending timeline, which shows you what's hot on Twitter, plus some tweets to show you what people are talking about. To capitalize on its TV partnerships, Twitter will also surface trending TV shows in the Discover tab, too. You'll never miss another watercooler moment.
