Sometimes fast food still isn't quite fast enough.
That's what McDonald's seems to be thinking as the company prepares to roll-out a new mobile payment app that will hopefully remove the unnecessary confusion from the restaurant's current line-based, anarchy-prone approach to fast food ordering.
The mobile payment system will begin a test roll-out in Salt Lake City and Austin. The app will allow customers to order and pay for their food via their phone and then pick-up the food in stores, curbside, or through the drive through.
The app will presumable be similar to the mobile payment system from McDonald's subsidiary Chipotle, which allows customers to pre-order and pay through its iOS app (but only in limited markets through its Android app for some reason).
