Ask anyone in the publishing business and they'll tell you that print media isn't as popular as it used to be. But that doesn't mean paper is obsolete just yet. Take, for instance, this Arduino-powered pop-up book by Antonella Nonnis.
Antonella, an interactive designer based in the UK, built The Music Math Art and Science Electronic Book for her six-year-old niece. The book isn't long—it has only four pages—but each page contains various interactive elements. You can slide elements around or touch them "to activate sounds and lights and other sensors," as Antonella puts it. Antonella made the whole thing using recycled materials like paper and fabric, along with LEDs, resistors, and various other parts. A pair of Arduino Diecimila board and various batteries power the works.
